The Autonamer is a useful agent that comes with Docking Station and was made by Masha. It names your Norns (but not Ettins or Grendels) automatically, by going through all the Norns in the world every few minutes and picking them a name from a list defined in a catalogue file.
Despite some players' opinion that the names were made up or look and sound weird (to say the least) each and every one of the more than 13,000 names that come with the original catalogue file are real names from all around the world.
There are names in European languages, such as English, French, German, Dutch, Italian, Spanish, Russian, Swedish, etc. as well as Aborigine, Eskimo, North American Indian, Thaitian, Maori, Malawi, Luganda, Kiswahili, Japanese, Chinese, Pakistani and Zulu.
