Guideline Text[]
The United States' Federal Trade Commission has updated The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, a federal law designed to limit the collection of personal information from people younger than 13 years of age.
Wikia, the host of the Creatures Wiki, has decided to comply with it by disabling anonymous editing on the Creatures Wiki, as the Creatures Wiki appears to appeal to a potential audience/authorship of people younger than 13.
To edit the Creatures Wiki, it is now necessary to sign up to Wikia and agree to their updated terms of use, which require that you be over 13.

The above guideline may be discussed in the space below. When a consensus is reached, the guideline will be either rejected or put into effect.
I just thought I should create this as a guideline to prevent future confusion and explain why anonymous editing has been disabled here. Unless we fork the wiki from Wikia, realistically this is something that's not going to change significantly. --Malkin 01:54, September 5, 2013 (UTC)
