"Third-party" or unofficial refers to anything made by individual members of the Creatures Community and not the owner of the Creatures series (currently Gameware Development). This can be anything from agents/cobs, to tools and music! There are many third-party developers, including graphic artists, coders, geneticists and more. Compare with official.
